At Simon Gratz Mastery Charter, the dynamic Literature team is excited to introduce Springboard, our newly adopted curriculum, published by the College Board. We are truly invested in our students' post-secondary success Springboard accommodates students by offering core instructional materials in print and digital that are fully aligned to state standards, Advanced Placement (A.P.) coursework, and the S.A.T. Suite of Assessments.
Each year, data shows that our students have made tremendous gains on benchmark and standardized testing. Our rigorous data-driven instruction allows students to reflect on their outcomes and set goals. In preparation for standardized testing, students receive small group and individualized support through A.C.T. prep, office hours, and after school programs like Keystone K.O.R.E.
We take pride in our student's writing by displaying them in the classroom and hallways. We also encourage students to challenge and reimagine the world by engaging in debates, Socratic seminars, and class discussions. Lastly, we recognize that we must continue to be deliberate in giving texts that are culturally relevant and make our students feel liberated and celebrated. Students will continue to share their experiences and ideas in safe spaces that allow them to thrive.
